Story Lines are in abundance in the Show as their is "Mad Max of Comerica" going for twenty W's, Yasiel Puig carrying a "Whole New Blue", the Buccos of the 'Burgh flying high, and can Miggy of the D gets his 2nd AL Triple Piece in a Row and that is just some of the top story lines of the 2013 MLB Season but there is one more and it is significant.

Baltimore Orioles Hot Corner Manny Machado (Twitter @MannyMachado3) became an All-Star in 2013 before he hits 21 years of age. He is the Present and the Future of the Charm City Hardball Team moving forward and he is something to watch. Machado's 2013 numbers of .304 avg with 8 bombs and 48 ribbies and sixty runs and those are solid numbers but the biggest number is Machado's Two-Baggers...you know Doubles.

As we go to press and he has slowed a little out the gate but "M2" leads the show with 39 two-baggers and is on pace to hit just north of 70 doubles in a 162 game trek. Now is that significant yes as the record is held by Earl Webb of the 1931 Red Sox with 67 in a season. In the last twenty tears dating back to 1993 Todd Helton had 63 in 2000 for the Rockies, Carlos Delgado had 57 in the same year in the AL for the Blue Birds, and Carig Biggio of the 'Stros had 56 in 1999.

Machado seems to be on pace and as we hit August in less than week Machado needs just over 15 to break Webb's 67 but to get 70 he needs 16-17 two-baggers an Machado will be in the Record Books at the ripe age of 21 and his 2nd full year in the Show. Now how 'bout that Camden Krazies and O's Nation.
