The downside of going through Camp and a four-game exhibition schedule is the chance for Injury but that is with everything. Teams just hope when Injury occur they are just tweaks and strains compared to season-ending or of the PUP List variety. Well that worst of the worst came out of Eagles and Ravens Camp yesterday and now through various media outlets the Broncos newly acquired Center Dan Koppen may have a torn ACL...and the Injury Big could derail Playoff Hopes quickly to key personnel.
Bird Camp Philly...WR Jeremy "J-Mac" Maclin torn ACL out for 2013....15 gms 69 receptions 857 yds 7 TDs
The Eagles still have weapons but you want as many game-breakers as possible and J-Mac is that. In Chip Kelly's New Offense the Run will be more productive than anything and they have Shady McCoy in that backfield. They still have DeSean Jackson, dependable chain mover Jason Avant, and Tight End Brent Celek. This is a huge blow for the Eagles and now those three players mentioned work load just got bigger.
Purple Browns Camp Owen Mills, MD...TE Dennis "#100 in NFL's Top 100 of 2013" Pitta...16 gms 61 receptions 661 yds and 7 TDs
He is the most Versatile WR/TE they have and figured ion the Ravens Offensive Game Plan largely and that a huge blow considering WR Anquan Boldin is no longer in Ravens Duds. Pitta was also QB Flacco's Safety Net along with RB Ray Rice on 3rd Down and a mis match waiting to happen for Backers. The Ravens are really good at replacing Players but no matter who they get now he cannot and will not spell Pitta.
Preliminary Reports out of Broncos Camp are that 2013 Free Agent pick up Center Dan Koppen has a possible torn ACL and we will have to wait and see. Koppen was picked up due to Broncos projected starting center J.D. Walton had Ankle Surgery. Centers are huge on any offensive line as they call out all the Plays in Protections along with the QB.
