As we head into the 2nd half of the season and that AL dominated Mid Summer Classic the Redbirds from Baseball Town USA and the Buccos of the 'Burgh are the toast of the National League. Both teams are the odds on favorite to get to NL Winning Time but the Red Legs are right there knocking on the door in that rugged NL Central. In the West its the D-Backs trying to hold off an all of a sudden surge from Dodger New Blue and the Rockies are trying to stay close as "Tulo" gets back into the Line up. In the East the Braves could've put away both the Nats and the Phils as both are hanging around as though they know something we don't.

Top NL Teams to get to Winning Time...
Note: Number is current NL Rank by Record only

NL East

#Braves 3rd (54-41)....they still are not hitting and now that line up is banged up especially in the outfield. Who knows if it wasn't for 2013 Final Vote All-Star 1B Freddie Freeman handling things at the dish and Justin Upton's sometimes Power Numbers the Braves would be right back in the above average pack of the Nats and Phils. The Braves back end has 5-Star Closer in Kimbrel. They need to get that Starting Staff namely Kris Medlen. They have a chance if they can get it done on the bump and the Big Boys start on hitting.

#Nats 6th (48-47)....where is the "Potomac 2-Pack" of S2 and G2...Stephen Strasburg and Gio Gonzalez. They have been a disappearing act in 2013. The Nats will hit with Harp, Zim, Werth, and LaRoche but they need that pitching to get going ASAP. Can they get hot and put some pressure on the Braves is the Fall Classic 2k13 Question.

#PhightinPhils 7th (48-48)...they are just 6 1/2 back of the Braves as we starts the 2nd half. They have Cliff Lee and they need Cole Hammels to get it going. Before they start thinking of October Baseball they have to get to the Top in the East. The Phils have plenty of work to do but they are in a better position than most think they are.

NL Central

#Redbirds 1st (57-36)...All-Stars everywhere an they have a plethora of Arms in that Starting Rotation led by Adam Wainright. The Cards know the race starts and end in the Central and its them versus the Pirates and Reds. Outside of the Pirates they are the most balanced Team in the Show and they will be playing in October but the question is as what...NL Central Winner or NL Wildcard?

#Buccos 2nd (56-37)....the Pirates folding in 2013 like they did in 2012 was thrown in the Three Rivers a month ago. They are here to stay and they will at the Redbirds for the NL Central lead and the Shows Best record. They too have a plethora of riches from the Bump to the Dish like the Cards and they too will have the same two questions the Redbirds have to answer going into the 2nd half.

#RedLegs 4th (53-42)....the Reds are not on the outside looking in but at the same table as the Redbirds and Buccos they just have to place their order right now 3rd. The inconsistency from the Reds stems from their Starting Pitching as they have plenty of Offense an their line up as just as good as the Card or Pirates moving forward. With a lot of head to head match ups going can the Reds stay close than get hot and make a run at the NL Central Crown they have all the ingredients in Latos, Cueto, @DatDudeBP, Chapman, and Votto leading the charge.

NL West

#DBacks 5th (50-45)...They have been under heavy surveillance from the Boys in Blue and the Rocks. They have weathered the storm thus far but the Dodgers are playing in the O-Zone Layer and the Senior Circuit has been warned. Can Corbin and Goldschmidt along with Gerardo Parra among others have enough juice to get 'Zona to that NL West Chip as they are in unfamiliar territory being the Hunted and not the Hunter.

#BoysInBlue 8th (47-47)...They get a huge boost from picking up the Marlins Nolasco to go with a blazin' Greinke, Ryu, and Kershaw. They are getting Offense from everyone and the Big Three of Hanley Raimerez, Adrian "A-Gon" Goizalez, and Yasiel Puig have been doing major damage on MLB Pitching in the last month. The Dodgers should overtake the D-Backs and the West but they must stay healthy and lose no more bodies. Kemp on the D.L. is no problem when you have Andrew Ethier and Carl Crawford trying to fins a place to play.
