It was a story book ending for the 2013 Major LEague Baseball's "Mid-Summers Classic" as the The American League gets the win and home field back for the 2013 Fall Classic. The Game was dominated by pitching and the American League Pitchers did a number on the NL Hitters.
The American League Starter "Mad MAX beyond Comerica" Scherzer started the AL Dominance on the Bump with an inning filled with a strikeout and the "Express". That was followed the Winner in PAle Hose Lanky LHP Chris Sale who went two innings striking out two and bringing some of that side-arm drop down cheese at 96 mph....Yowza! The AL then followed those two with Kid Felix of the M's, Moore of the Rays, Balfour of the A's, Holland of the Royals, Cecil and Delabar of the 'Jays, and then came the most Famous "Cutter" of all time.
With the Music blasting Metallica's "Enter Sandman" and Both Dugouts emptied onto the Field it was Mo Rivera's Time from the Bombers. S standing ovation as the greatest closer ever is hanging those cleats up after 2013 and he went one, two, three in the eighth as Rangers RHP Joe Nathan closed the door in the 9th. Sale gets the "W" for the Al who wins 3-0 and allowing just three hits.
The AL at the Dish was led by RBI's from the Tribe's Kipnis, the Jay's "Jose Bats", and the O's JJ Hardy. Runs were scored by Perez of the Royals, Miggy of the D, and Jones of the O's. Now with the win the American League Team has home field advantage in the 2013 Fall CLassic and you don't think Tigers and AL All-Star Skip Jimmy Leyland wasn't going for it with the working of that AL Pitching Staff.
Not lost in all of this was Amazins' Rook RHP Matt Harvey who went two innings allowing one hit and send three AL All-Stars back to the Pine searching for an answer to what they just saw. That Man Harvey looks the part and throws the part as the Mets have to be giddy about their young arms moving forward.
