Its is All-Star Break after today's games in the Show and Tigers RHP Justin Verlander was in Fall CLassic Mode or Tigers Nation will tell you thats Verlander being Verlander. Two hours and some change after the start of the Rangers @ Tigers in Comerica Verlander goes seven and allows one Hardball to hit Maple, Ash, or Bamboo as he issues three free passes and three strikeouts. Tigers All-Stars Hunter and Peralta goes Solo Shot along with Tiger DH Victor Martinez. The Tigers finish the 1st half just 1 1/2 games up on th Tribe who beat the Royals 6-4. The Rangers await the outcome of the A's and Carmines but as we go to press are 1 1/2 games out in the AL West.
C.C. Sabathia was hoping to put the Yanks into the "W" Column before the break but the Twin Cities Twinkies had other ideas. The Twins pounded out 8's in hits and runs vs Sabathia only through four innings. The big blow was Twins Center Fielder Aaron Hicks three-run bomb off Sabathia in the 3rd. The Bombers look like they will limp into the Break in 4th place and 6 1/2 off the rival Carmines...Wow!
The Tampa Bay Rays and Skip Joe Maddon have that Rays Machine in hyper warp as they continue to be "Full Steam ahead" on the AL East leading Carmines of Boston. The Rays get a gem from Chris Archer as he goes a complete job four-hitter and striking out eight. The Rays have been doing where you have to do starting with the Bump and getting some timely hitting from everyone in the line-up. As we go to press the rays are just three games back of the Carmines with the Red Sox game versus the A's in progress.
