The Red Legs took two out of three from the Buccos and they are right in the middle of the top-heavy NL Central with the Redbirds of Baseball Town USA leading the way. The Reds Legs are three back of the Buccos and five back of the Redbirds and we are still in August with plenty of Hardball to play.

The Gigantes almost swept the NL West leading D-Backs but take two of three and they need to get that 5-Star Pitching Rotations back on the same page. The Gigantes are seven games under the .500 mark but the good news is they are just 5 1/ back of the lead and that is a comforting feeling playing .460 play hardball. We will see how comforting it is if its Labor Day and we still haven't topped the .500 mark.

The Reds are trying to keep the Hardball rolling as they have Arroyo and Leake on the front and back end of the four-piece. The Giants have Lincecum going in game 1 with Zito in the middle and Gaudin in game four and that means the Reds miss 2013 All-Star RHP Madison Bumgarner and Matt Cain. The Reds must take care of business as they have another 4-piece with the blue-hot Dodgers in Chavez Ravine after leaving the bay. The Gigantes will get the Cubbies.
