The Minnesota Lynx sent the Defending WNBA World Champion Atlanta Dream a message as they run through, over, and around the Dream for a 94-72 win. It wasn't just Maya Moore (19 pts 5 rebs) for the Ladies of 10K Lakes but Forward Monica Wright and Point Guard Lindsey Whalen. Wright went for a game-high 22 points and Whalen 20 points as the Dream's -12 2nd frame cost them in this one. The difference in the game was the Lynx were +12 at the Stripe and the Lynx turned it over 18 times. A team can't expect to win coming out of the Motel -8 in My Bad's. The Dream was led by Angel McCoughtry's 16 points and Center Erika de Souza's 14 points and thirteen rebounds. The Ladies of 10K Lakes move to 9-3 and the Dream end a 6-game win streak and fall to 10-2.
The Golden State Warriors are trying to get to the Top of the Logo and the Pacific Division right now. Forget that old sang, " there is always next year" not in Planet Oracle. The Warriors continue to change the Roster around adding back-up Point Toney Douglas a former Knick and Rocket. Also they look to add Center Jermaine O'Neal who played with the '77 Rip City Blazers to back up Bogut. The Quality Depth to go with the youthfulness of the Core of the Roster is making for a Lob City + #DUBnation = a Pacific Division Explosion.
The Texas Rangers have gone into Camden Yards versus the 2nd place AL East O's and took the first two. Tonight it was all about Rangers Hot Corner Adrian Beltre as he went Deep x Two as the Texas beats Baltimore 8-4. Beltre went 2nd frame Solo and the 5th frame the big one...a Three-Run Smash that turned a 2-1 deficit into a 4-2 Rangers lead as they added one more in the top of the fifth. Rangers Starter Martin Perez gets the "W" and the O's Starter Zach Britton takes the loss. O's All-Star Hot Corner Manny Machado goes Solo Shot a the O' can't make any ground in the AL East. The Rangers can't either as the A's beat the Buccos again.
