The Philadelphia 76ers fall to 10-39 as they had a tough task ahead of them on this night playing the red-hit Cleveland Cavaliers led by King James and Uncle Drew among others. To Philly's credit they would not go away easily or by a 30-piece.
The Cavs leading after one 24-15 and at the break by a score of 47-35 looked like they were going to blow the doors off the 76ers and make it an easy closing. LeBron had 14 points at the break and Kyrie 9 points as Cleveland would jump out to a 19-point lead early in the 2nd half 56-37.
That lea would dwindle all the way down to a 69-65 end of 3rd frame score as the Sixers closed the 3rd on a 28-10 run. That run was led by Rook Jerami Grant's 8 points in the frame. In the 4th it was Uncle Drew trying to get to that Two-Liter Pepsi Max as the Sixers cut it to 69-67 at the beginning of the 4th and the Sixers would play the Cavs nip and tuck the rest of the way.
Back to Uncle Drew as he hits two straight money balls stretching the Cavs lead to ten 77-67. The Sixers would close to a 86-83 Cavs lead as "Believeland" would close on a 11-1 run. Irving had a game-high 24 points with James adding 18 points (14 pts 1st half) and eleven helpers. Kevin Love getting no shots had top do something grabbing 15 boards.
Sixers get 18 points apiece from Robert Covington and Grant as they committed 21 turnovers to the Cavs 18. Cleveland moves to 30-20 and just a game back on the NBA Central leading Bulls standing at 30-19. Philly headed to another NBA Draft trying to get another "Big"!
