The Kentucky Wildcats just have too many horses and on any given night Coach Cal can go to any of his top 7 -8 horses and they can go get nearly anyone and Kentucky will win that match up. The Gators having an off year tried giving the #BBN the "Saturday Night Fever" Business in the "Swamp" to no avail.
Yes the Gators led 30-28 at the break but Aaron Harrison came alive trying to live up to all that "Hype" surround he and his Twin Brother from two years ago. Harrison had a game-high 23 points leading the attack in the 2nd half as he goes 6 for 12 from the field and 3 for 6 from deep.
Freshman "Big" Karl-Anthony Towns added 19 points and eight boards with Junior "Big" Willie Cauley-Stein chipping in with 13 points and five boards. Too much length and size in the painted-area coupled with all that versatility from 1-5 gives Kentucky Opponents a "Nightmare on Bluegrass Street"!
Dorian Finney-Smith led the Gators with 16 points as Sophomore PG Kasey Hill added a dozen points. Florida was out rebounded 33-20 but was +9 from deep and if UK has an Achilles heel its shooting from deep. Its either the streaky Harrison Twins or Freshman Devin Booker.
UK moves to 10-0 in the SEC and 23-0 overall and that might have been the last real shot to beat Kentucky. UF falls to 5-5 in the SEC and 12-11 overall.
