Well it was Finland vs Finland in the "Blue Paint" as the Indian Head had Antti Raanta and the Sharks went with former Hawks 2010 Stanley Cup Winning Net Minder Antti Niemi. After the smoke cleared the Sharks 1st period goals by Melker Karlsson his 8th just five minutes into the 1st stood up as Team Teal Captain Joe Thornton scores an empty netter late in the 3r to cap a 20-0 shutout for the Sharks.

Again when the Indian Head is on your ice it just has that "Fight for Lord Stanley" feel to it as the Hawks are the benchmark in the Ice Games for now. Niemi stymied all 31 SOG from Chicago as the Hawks were 0-1 on the power play with the Sharks 0-3. That 2nd frame Niemi stopped 15 of the 31 as the Indian Head playing on the 2nd leg of the back to back had some solid scoring chances but could not get the Frozen One in net past Niemi.

Hawks "Blue Paint" Tenant Antti Raanta who also hails from Finland stopped 18 of 19 SOG as he brought his A-Game and if it wasn't for that first goal early on in the game we might be talking the Hawks if they lost received a point.

Chicago falls to 31-17-2 as they get "Skating with the Wild" on Tuesday February 3rd. The Sharks move to 27-17-6...
