They don't come often but be fore we start talking about Seventy-Sixers Hoops and Joel Embiid does anyone remember Sixers SF Hollis Thompson and where he played. Well on any given night playing Philly you know reigning Rook of the Year Michael "Campbell Soup Cooler" Carter-Williams and Tony "206" Wroten Jr. (Out with slightly Torn ACL and ticked off that his hometown Seahawks pulled a fast one for Vegas) can go Triple-Double. After that it's a pick'em as any one of the 13 or so Sixers can get busy.
Well tonight the Mile High Nugs were on the Sixers Menu as Philly as trying to make them Victim #11 through 50 games on the 82-game trek. Philly had the "Answer" not from Hampton Bethel HS in Allen Iverson but the answer to the Mile High Nugs problems.
The Sixers jumped out to a 61-40 halftime lead as Hollis had 19 points at the break hitting his first 8 shots. Yes he ended 8 for 12 from the field with 23 points as Denver made it a game late but it was too late. Sixers run the table and gets a 105-98 "W" as the Nugs Starters score 45 points with the "Manimal" putting up a Goose Egg.
Joining Thompson was M.C.W. with 15 points and a dozen helpers going entree with eight boards going appetizer. Robert Covington added 17 points and eight boards as Philly didn't shoot lights out and committed 20 turnovers.
Nugs need to hit the Reset Button as Italy's Danillo Gallinari (the Major Piece in "Melo Trade to NYC) had a team-high 22 points. Nugs Lead Man B-Shaw needs to get out of there and let that ship sink. at 19-30. The Sixers move to 11-39 and what's the deal with getting 11 W's as they should be thinking 2015 Draft Lottery and adding another "Big" in Duke's Jah Okafor or are the Knicks are ready set in stone to get #1?
Nugs if Hindsight was 50-50 (Cam Newton Voice) should have kept current Raptors and Nigerian born GM Masai Ujiri throwing everything at him but owning the Nugs...and now look!
