Yes the Hawks went up early and took shot after shot and run after run as the 2015 Highlight Factory All-Stars please stand up! They did to the tune of 26 points from Jeff Teague answering Wall-Star's 24 points for the Wiz. Then it was Big Al Horford playing and bigger than both Marcin Gortat and Ne Ne Hilario in the painted-area to the tune of 21 points and thirteen boards.
Yes Wall's Wings and Burgers Assistant GM/Back of the House Manager Bradley Beal added 24 points but the Hawks closed out the deal protecting Hawks Nation and Philips Arena dba the new Omni dawg gone it!
Hawks led 59-46 at the break but you knew the Wizards would test themselves and reach back to make a few of those patented NBA Runs that all teams make in the course of 48 minutes. The Wiz was down 66-57 at the eight minute mark and the Wiz Kids D.C. found their Verizon Hot Spot and closed out on a 17-11 run making it 77-74 Hawks at the end of three.
Atlanta pulled away early in the 4th on two money balls by Demarre Carroll and the other 2015 Hawks All-Star Paul Milsap to make it 88-79 and they never looked back winning by the score of 105-96. Carroll finished with 14 and Milsap 11 points and seven boards.
Joining Wall-Star and Beal was Gortat with 14 points and nine boards and Ne Ne adding 17 points. The Wiz have to kicking themselves as they went 4 for 16 from the arc.
Hawks move to 41-9 and the Wiz falls to 31-19 as that 3rd, 4th, and 5th seeds in the East are racked, stacked, and packed.
