The St. Louis Cardinals were on Top of the Hardball World just two weeks ago with the Show's Best record. Now they are in the middle of going West Inter League Style in 2nd place in the NL Central behind the New Pittsburgh Pirates. The Halos in turn have started to turn those Large Direct Deposits into W's as it took them a few pay periods and a trip to the Self-Checkout Kiosk to start unleashing a Roster full of Stars on the Show. It's better to be Tardy for the Party than never showing up...right? This should be Five-Star MLB Entertainment and the Redbirds are no Ramen Noodle Diet as Baseball Town USA is all of that. Man the Bluedude misses "Whitey Ball" and that is the 80s Redbirds led by Skip Whitey Herzog and those fast Redbirds like Vince Coleman and "E.T." Willie McGee!

REDBIRDS @ HALOS 3-Piece Holiday Inter League Set

July 2, 2013 10:05pm ET
STL Lynn (10-2) vs LAA Weaver (1-4)

July 3, 2013 10:05pm ET
STL Miller (8-6) vs LAA Williams (5-3)

July 4, 2013 9:05pm ET
STL Wainright (11-5) vs LAA Blanton (2-10)

The Opener tonight is must-see Show TV as don't let that 1-4 "Jered of Halo Nation" record mislead you. that is lanky right0handed Jered Weaver and he is a week or so removed from the D.L so Redbirds Hitters caution at the dish. As for Redbirds Lance Lynn..10 up Two Down...enough said!

Miller will tackle Williams and the Halos had to see Wainright with their luck as the Halos need a full rebate on Joe Blanton as he is eight games under on his lonesome...wow!

The Redbirds know heading into the All-Star Break they need to be playing good hardball and ride shotgun in the Buccos Whip. The Halos Magic Number is the .500 mark or above by All-Star Break and they are close. If they achieve that it will be a three-trick Pony in the AL West instead of a two-trick heading towards September Baseball.

Note: Albert "El Hombre" Pujols will be locked in as he faces some of his old mates in the Redbirds for the first time since leaving.
