The Boston Red Sox come off of taking three of four from the woeful Mariners. They exploded for over ten runs in the four games set on two occasions. The Red Sox lead the Rays by just 3 1/2 in the AL East. The Oakland Athletics come in having taken two of three from the New Buccos of the NL Central at PNC Park. Excellent Starting Pitching has been the key ingredient for the A's as they lead the Rangers in the AL West by one full game. Both teams would love to finish the 1st half in first place with a little bit of "MO".

The Red Sox will throw Lackey who has pitched well in his last three starts. He will face his equal   in Parker of the A's. Lester who hasn't factored in a decision in in weeks will go up against Griffin with Colon getting the Rubber Game for Oakland as the Carmines are undecided.
