The Detroit Lions had to do it sooner rather than later and they through numerous media outlets give their Sunday-Signal Caller Matt Stafford a nice "Chunk a Change". The Deal is reported in the neighborhood of $76 million over five years through 2017 that includes a $43 million in guaranteed ducketts. That is new money on top of his old deal that he will play on in the 2013 and 2014 season.

"Staff" has been good and has all the physical tools but that 17-28 in 45 Starts and an NFL Record throwing the Pigskin some 700 plus time in 2012 has to stop with 17 I.N.T.'s and only twenty in your end zone. "Staff" also had a QB Rating if just under 60...not good! The Run Game has to be a huge part of the equation moving forward and is 2013 Free Agent Reggie Bush the Answer...we will soon find out.

That Offensive Scheme has to improve to put "Staff" in better situations to succeed. He has his Ace in WR Calvin "MEGAtron" Johnson but he needs more. Tight End Brandon "JUMBOtron" Pettigrew is a nice piece nut there needs to be more. The Lions have some wiggle room to make a move in the NFC North as the clear favorite has to be the Pack with the other three not so clear including the Lions.
