The Mariners jumped on Red legs RHP Mat Latos early and behind a Kevin Seagler 2-Run shot it was the M's who looked to chase the Reds most consistent Pitcher in 2013. The Red Legs then down 3-1 in the bottom of the 4th strike with crooked numbers in that frame, the 5th, the 6th, and a 4-run 8th Inning as the reds take the M's to a Special Place on the Ohio 13-4. Four Reds had multi-hit games including Choo, Bruce, Hannahan, and Izturis. Bruce and Izturis each knocked in three as the Reds get to the 50-win plateau. Latos settled down after giving up three runs early and left after six allowing four runs total on six hits but he fanned eleven M's. He runs his 2013 total to 8-2 and that is a welcome sight pushing towards the All-Star Break. The M's with the loss drop to 38-49 and 12 1.2 off the pace in the AL West.

Madison Bumgarner said enough is enough as #OrangeOctober was sliding into McCovey Cove before the break. The Giants Southpaw struck out nine Dodgers in seven innings and the Gigantes stop the bleeding with a 4-2 "W".  The Giants Line Up led by Center Fielder Greg Blanco's 3 for 3 day with a ribbie scored three in the bottom half of the 2nd and that was more than enough. Dodgers RHP Stephen Fife was chased after 4 1/3 allowing 4 runs on seven hits and he falls to 3-3. Dodgers Right Fielder Yasiel Puig struckout four times. With the slide ironically the Gigantes are only one games back of the Dodgers and both are within at least five games of the NL West leading D-Backs.

Quietly with that October #NATitude the Nats are making a subtle but quick move north in the NL East as they squeak by a somewhat solid Padres Outfit 5-4. Both Starters Marquis for the 'Dres and Zimmerman for the Nats hit the Shower long before this one was over as neither factored in the decision. The Nats were down 4-3 after 'Dres First Baseman Jesus Guzman hit a Three-Run Bomb. The Nats took care of business in the bottom half of the 7th with a Sac Fly by 2013 All-Star Starter Bryce Harper and the go-ahead single by Ryan Zimmerman. Ex-Yanks Closer Rafael Soriano gets save #24 and that Nats Closing Role is no longer an issue.
