Don;t let that 10-4 Yankees Win mislead you as Pinstripes LHP Andy Pettitte was on the hook to take an L before the Twins Pen just broke down like a Ford Pinto riding from Sin City to the City of Angels in Desert Heat. A three run eighth and a four run ninth fives the Yankees what looked to be a runaway victory as they needed to stop the bleeding after getting swept in Camden over the Weekend. Pettitte went five and allowed four runs on six hits including a Solo Shot from Twinkies Right Fielder  Chris Parmalee. Yanks Star Second Baseman Robbie Cano goes 3 for 4 with three ribbies and four runs scored. One of those Three hits was a One-Run Big Fly in the top half of the first inning. Bombers stop losing streak and move six games behind the Carmines in the AL East. Twinkies seven games under the .500 mark but just 6 1/2 games back of first in the AL Central.

The Nats took care of the Piwowarzy aka the Milwaukee Brewers in a 10-5 Nats win. As the Nats get their Star Outfielder back of the DL in Bryce Harper. Harp didn't disappoint as he took Brewers Ace Yovani Gallardo for a Solo Shot in inning one. The Nats then put up a crooked five in the bottom of the 3rd to give Nats Starter Jordan Zimmerman his 12th "W". Zim was cruising until he gave up back to back two run innings in the 5th and 6th and the Nats Staff gave up a run in the 7th to make it 8-5. The Nats then tacked on insurance in the bottom half of the 8th getting two ducks in. Zim went six giving up nine hits and four runs while striking out five. Gallardo takes the loss for the Brew Crew allowing eight runs on nine hits in just three innings. Can the Nats put a mini-run together to get close to the Braves before All-Star Break?

On Canada Day the Jays in Red Jersey aka the Red Jays jumped all over Tiger LHP Jose Alvarez as they chased him after three innings. Alvarez gave up five runs on six hits including a Solo Bomb to 'Jays Shortstop Jose Reyes. Speaking of Reyes he led the charge with a 3 fore 5 and a run scored. That Prolific Tigers Line Up only could muster three runs on seven hits as they are free falling in the AL Central. The Tigers fall out of first place in the AL Central by a 1/2 game to the Tribe. The 'Jays continue to try and head north in the AL East as they are eight back of the Carmines. 'Jays Knuckler R.A. Dickey moves to 8-8 with the "W".
