The Chicago Blackhawks went six with the Nashville Predators and now well-rested. Minnesota Wild arrive in round 2 after stunning the NL Central l winning St. Louis Blues. They also have 2015 Vezina Trophy (NHL top goalie award) Devan Dubnyk who has the ability to go blue-paint lock down.

T.G.I.F. May 1, 2015 Game 1 Western Semifinals
from

Madhouse on Madison

Advantage by Position
Note: Wild (W) Blackhawks (BH)

Defenseman: BH

Hawks get the edge with D.K. Duncan Keith leading the charge and the underrated
play of Brent Seabrook and Line 2 of Niklas Hjalmarsson and Johnny Oduya. That Wild 1st line of Ryan Suter and Jonas Brodin is the key for net minder Devan Dybnyk.

Centers: Tie

Captain Serious the best leader in the NHL had a productive round 1 and he sets the tone for the Indian Head. The Hawks with Mike Richards, Markus Kruger, and Antione Vermette gets the edge. Wild Mikael Granlund and Captain Mikko Koivu are a load. The Wild are real close in this match up and their 3rd and 4th centers might be a shade better.

Forwards: Tie

This is where the series will be won with Star Power everywhere. Zach Parise and Jason Pominville with Jason Zucker and Chris Stewart is stout. The Hawks counter with the likes of Marian Hossa, Brandon Saad, Patrick Kane, and Bryan Bickell. I just think Parise and Pominville cancel out Kane and Saad with the 3-4 playing on equal ground. The forward play is the X-Factor in this series.

Goalies: W

Devan Dubnyk (2-0-0, 0.50 GAA vs Hawks in 2014-15) has been lights out and he proved like many though he would to be the difference vs the Blues. He stopped 36 of 37 SOG in the game 6 clincher and if the Indian Head does not get to him and he settles down it could be a long series for Chicago.

That two-headed blue-paint monster or anything but between Corey Crawford and Scott Darling like Dubnyk depends heavily on that defense in front of them. Getting to the Cup that blue-paint tenant must be on his game and both the Wild and Hawks know that!

Coaching: BH

Indian Head lead man Coach Joel Quennvelle dba Coach "Q" is proven through the "Fight for Lord Stanley" as the Hawks know it starts with him then the Captain.

Edge/Winner: BH 4-2

The B-Hawks as they try an get another Cup and their 3rd since 2010. The Wild has to be thinking if we can score early and hand it off to "D2" Devan Dubnyk in the blue-paint our chances increase greatly to win this series.

the "Frozen One" drops at 9:30pm ET at the Madhouse
