That game 3 between the Anaheim Ducks and Chicago Blackhawks was played in $3 Car Wash as the wash started and before you could blink out you go. Team Webbed Feet played about as well as I have seen any team in recent memory except maybe the "Monarchs" of L.A. Ice Games dba L.A. Kings.
The Ducks opened the scoring on a Patrick Maroon tip-in a little over midway through the 1st on a Ducks power play. The Hawks right before the end of the first frame gets a Patrick Kane score with just 57 ticks remaining as the "Bison City Mullet" gets it going. Little did Hawks Nation know the Ducks would call the "Law" and the "Law" won!
A back an forth affair in the 2nd that saw Team Webbed Feet out shoot the Indian Head 14-11 meant nothing for nearly 19:30 minutes. It was Simon Despres getting an assist from Ducks Captain Ryan Getzlaf on a slapper past Corey Crawford and Defenseman Johnny Oduya that made it 2-1 Ducks...and that was the back breaker.
The Hawks real chance in the 3rd came with seven ticks remaining as "Kaner 88" split the Ducks defense and almost wristed one past Frederik Andersen as the Ducks get Home Ice back in their favor with a huge game 3 win.
Anaheim put on a clinic keeping the Indian Head off balance with excellent play in the neutral zone as well as the Ducks Penalty Kill...A+! Now the Hawks must regroup and be ready to tie this series up 2-2 on Saturday Night heading back to Anaheim for game 5 on Monday Night Memorial Day Night!
As for that Ducks Penalty Kill the Indian Head was 0 for 5 as Anaheim was 1 for 1 on their only P.K. and that was their first goal. Andersen stopped 27 of 28 SOG while "Craw-Dad" halted 25 of 27 as the men in the blue-paint have been tough all series long!
Was that the "Blue Print" on how to handle the Indian Head and I hope not...Hawks Nation enjoy your Friday and prepare yourself for Saturday at the Madhouse! As for Team Webbed Feet Nation...enjoy this one as you won't get game 4!
