The New York Yankees finish taking three of four from the Baltimore Orioles in dominating fashion on "Get Away Day"! The day belong to all the Moms out there and in this tilt Yanks Ace Michael Pineda. Mike seven frames allowing six hits and a run but struck out some 16 O's Hitters.
The O's ironically enough gets a JJ Hardy 2nd frame Bomb to start the scoring off Pineda making it 1-0 O's. It was then Bombers Hitters in the 4th frame putting up a crooked four on O's starter Bud Norris highlighted by Carlos Beltran's 1st homer on the season.
The Yanks chased Norris (3.1 IP 6 H 4 R 4 ER 3 B 2 SO HR) in the 4th as Yanks back stop "Bob the Builder" McCann took O's reliever Brian Matusz for a solo ride in the 5th. Both team would tack on one run each after the 5th as the Yanks win going away 6-2 and take three of four from B-More Hardball.
Don't look now but Team Girardi is 20-12 leading the AL East as the O's fall to 13-16...
