The Orlando Magic made somewhat of a splash as they get one of their own back to lead the 2015-16 O-Magic back to hopefully NBA Southeast Prominence. Scott Skiles will be the 12th lead man to call X's and O's for the Mouse Town Magic as he once played for Orlando from 1989 - 1994.

Skiles 1st NBA coaching Gig was back in the 1999-2000 season with the Phoenix Suns through the 2001-2002 season and that was pre-Steve Nash, Shawn Marion, and Amare Stoudamire. He then led the Bulls from 2003-2007 and was with the Milwaukee Bucks from 2008-2013. That W-L was 443-433 and that would be average at best.

Skiles will get a youthful but talented Magic Roster led by Combo Guard Victor Oladipo and Center Nikola Vucevic. He has all sorts of diamonds in the rough with SF Tobias Harris and 2014 Magic Lottery Pick PF Aaron Gordon.

The Magic also has a few picks in their back pocket for the 2015 NBA Draft with the #5 and #51 picks of that draft. I say they grab Myles Turner to add with Vucevic as you would have two rim-protectors.

Back in his college days Skiles was a nasty little PG with a drive and heart and determination like no other playing for the Michigan State Legend Jud Headcothe. Now he gets chance #4 with room to grow and nowhere to go but up...
