The Hawks win that game 2 marathon as the longest game in Indian Head History but it might have come at a steep price. The Hawks Defensemen of D.K. "Brooksie", "Hammer", and Johnny O logged nearly two full frames plus of T.O.I. and that can't be good. Hawks lead man Coach "Q" has reluctantly at times used Kimmo Timonen and Kyle Cumiskey along with David Rundblad. That trio of players has to be better as the Hawks first four needs to get off the ice.
As for the Ducks Corey Perry has wreaked havoc and I still do not know how he missed what looked to be 100 chances to beat the Hawks Corey Crawford in the blue-paint in extras the other night. The Indian Head must slow him down as its a matter of time until Ryan Getzlaf gets going as well.
The Hawks though have #65 who was hands down the best player on ice including both teams. Yes the head butt goal was one thing but his energy level combined with playing intelligently has been off the charts. Like Perry and Getzlaf that Hawks dynamic duo of Captain Serious #19 and the "Bison City Mullet" will get going at some point as Team Webbed Feet is hoping its not in games 3 and 4.
As for the blue-paint tenants you just cannot play any better than both played in game 2 and now we get game 3 in less than 48 hours. It will be up to the men playing in front of them as the neutral zone along with getting pucks in and out of your zone will be crucial.
Can the Mighty Ducks get game 3 and turn the pressure back onto the Hawks or will the Hawks go "Full Throttle" as that lucky number is 7 to hit Grant Park and see all that Madhouse on Madison Ice Red!
