It back to back jacks in the bottom half of the 1st from Kris Bryant and Anthony Rizzo along with a solid performance on the "Bump" from Cubs starter Jon Lester and the North Sides put one in the win column.

Mets starter Jacob deGrom gave up those two bombs to Bryant and Rizzo as the Cubs scored another run to go up3-0 after one. DeGrom would settle down after that first frame to allow one more in the 4th on an Addison Russell RBI single as the Mets get one also in the 4th off Lester on a Kevin Plawecki RBI Single.

Lester was cruising and in the top half of the 6th with a squeezed strike zone it was the Mets turn to go back to back jacks. Lucas Duda and Wilmer Flores both take Lester deep and all of a sudden it was 4-3 Cubbies.

The Cubbies Pen then went to Captain Save-A-Game Hector Rondon in the 9th as the North Siders Pen threw a scoreless 7th and 8th to notch his 7th save. Lester moves to 3-2 allowing three runs through six. DeGrom gets the loss falling to 3-4 as he goes five giving up four.

Cubbies move to 16-15 as the Amazins' fall to 20-12...
