The Chicago Cubs starting pitching has been more than solid through the first month of the season. The only one not living up to his billing is supposed Ace Jon Lester. Lester is getting familiar with his Senior Circuit Surroundings having come over from the Junior Circuit its a whole other ball game!

Well in his 5th start to date Lester gets his 1st "W" for the North Siders going seven strong allowing just three hits and striking out four as he walked one.  The lone run in the game by Cubbies Rook Second Baseman Addison Russell came in the 3rd when he took Brew Crew starter Wily Peralta deep for a Cubs 1-0 lead.

Peralta went six almost matching Lester allowing eight hits and a run walking two while striking out six. The Cubbies playing sound hardball moves to 13-8 while the Brew Crew falls to 5-18 dead last in the NL Central.

Cubs Captain Save-A-Game Hector Rondon gets his 5th in 6 chances....
