It's just a formality as they have already begun talks on a new deal but 27 year-old OLB/DE Brian Orakpo as the "Hail To The Redskins" gives him the Franchise Finger in hopes of getting a long-term deal done. He and OLB/DE Ryan Kerrigan when both are healthy are the 'Heart & Soul" of that 'Skins D moving forward as MLB and 50-Year Vet London Fletcher finally hung up his wooden cleats.

Orakpo "Franchise Finger" isn't cheap it will cost the 'Skins around $11.455 million. The former Hookem' Horns All-American must show and prove this season before the 'Skins pay him as he has had extended time on the Injured List and paying him big dollars might be a mistake in the long-term.  They have way more needs to take care of than just #98 as the 'Skins have holes everywhere.
