The Atlanta Hawks trying to play keep away from Knicks Tape for that #8 slot Dinosaur Field Trip goes from good to bad in a wink of an eye. The Raptors dug themselves a hole playing from behind most of the day until Lowry and the Raptors strike in the 4th and final frame.
The Hawks with a 25-16 lead after one and a 49-42 lead at the break had their "Hawks" in a row. The Hawks in the 3rd behind a balanced Hawks Attack extended that lead by two to a 71-60 lead. The Raptors though woke up as someone had mentioned Brooklyn Nets (2nd in the Atlantic behind the Raptors) are watching on League Pass.
The Raptors end the game on a furious 4th frame comeback led by Kyle Lowry, DeMar DeRozan, Nando De Colo, and Greivis Vasquez. Being down 74-60 early in the 4th De Colo and Vasquez get it started with a Money Ball and Free Throws and the raptors went on a 24-9 run to take the lead at 84-83 with just over three minutes to play. They then close the deal behind DeRozan's Free Throws and Lowry's 7 points in a row to end the game. Raptors win 96-86 and stays ahead of the Nets by two games.
Lowry had a game-high 25 points as DeRozan added 21 points and Lithuianian Big Jonas Valanciunas went double double with 13 points and he hauled in thirteen Oranges. Vasquez has been vital off the Raptors Bench of late spelling Lowry in a big way as he adds 12 points and five helpers.
The Hawks get 17 points apiece from Carroll and Milsap with PG Jeff Teague adding 16 points and five helpers. ATL could get a stop in the 4th to stop the Dinosaurs Run and that put them in harm's way. A - 7 in rebounding and a - 9 from the Arc...that was your Ball Game as both Teams combined for 32 turnovers. Hawks just 2.5 games ahead of the Knicks for #8 in the East.
