The Stanford Cardinals continue the trend of lower seeds beating higher seeds as they upset the Kansas Jayhawks in St. Louis, Missouri to advance to the Sweet 16. Stanford did it with Combo Guard Chasson Randle running the show and a balanced attack. For Kansas no Wiggins as he was trapped inside of himself and no Joel Embiid spelled Gloom and Doom for Rock Chalk as they were buying time for the 7-footer...coulda woulda shoulda...huh!

Stanford led just 24-22 at the half as the Jayhawks came out early in the 2nd half making a run behind transfer Senior Tarik Black (18 pts 6 rebs). The Cardinals settled down behind the play of Chasson Randle (13 pts 6 stls 4 rebs) and Dwight Powell (15 pts 7 rebs. The Jayhawks Pressure got to the Cards enough to keep Kansas close but Stanford in turn also made plays when they had to as Kansas could not get the lead back after being tied 49-49 at the five minute mark. The Cards then put the game away late in the double bonus as it was too little too late.

Kansas was led by Black and Freshman Conner Frankamp who added 12 points all from Deep. Wiggins playing his last game at KU had four points and four rebounds as when the going gets tough he is David Copperfield and not Jabari Parker.  Black and Frankamp were the only two Jayhawks in double figures as Rock Chalk exits and Vegas is elated as the field is wide open like German Autobahn.

360 Degrees...Stanford was 0-9 from the Arc and had 16 Turnovers to Kansas making five Money Ball and committing 14 turnovers...Kansas won everywhere but the Scoreboard...how 'bout that Bracket Challenge!
