There will be a shake up as Miguel Cabrera of the Tigers will move from 3rd to First at the beginning of the 2014 Season. Now before the shake up the #1 First Baseman is the multi-talented D-Backs First Baseman Paul Goldschmidt. He has elite Company though as there has to be a Prince from Texas, a Red Leg playing on the Ohio, and even a "A-Gon" from Chavez Ravine among that Top 5 at First Base in the Show.

Top 5 FIRST Baseman in MLB for 2014 in order:

1. Paul Goldschmidt #DBacks aka Gold Finger

He had a career year in 2013 and was 2nd on the Senior Circuit behind Buccos CF Andrew McCutchen for the NL M.V.P. He hit .302 with 36 Big Flies and he knocked in 125 runs which led the Senior Circuit in both categories in 2013. 103 Runs scored and an OPS of .952 which also led the NL in 2013 was ridiculous. He is only 26 years of age with his best Years in front of him as a Mammoth Contract awaits him to stay put in the Desert.

2. Chris Davis #Os aka "Crush" Davis

He was right behind both Miguel Cabrera and Mike Trout on the Junior Circuit for AL M.V.P. but the Numbers were astounding in 2013 to say the least. 53 homers and 138 Ribbies to go along with a .286 average and an OPS at 1.004..."Crush" was in the building through 162! Now with those 2013 what will he do for an Encore now that Manny Machado is not hitting in front of him but CF "Adam  Bombs" Jones is in the 4-Hole behind him?

3. Freddie Freeman #BravesCountry aka "F2"

The Braves thought heading into the 2013 Season it would be their just put together dynamic Outfield of the Upton Boys plus Jason Heyward would carry the Braves at the dish. They were right and wrong as Justin Upton for the most part did his thing but it was Freddie Freeman that carried the Chop Shop through 162 in 2013. A .319 average with 23 Homers and 109 Ribbies along with an .897 OPS was big time numbers for Freeman. He was an All-Star and finished in the NL at #5 in M.V.P. Voting. With Heyward and the Upton's with hopefully the worst behind them lookout as Freeman was awarded with a huge $130 million deal through 2020.

4. Prince Fielder #RangerNation aka "Prince of Arlington"

The Texas Rangers do away with Second Baseman Ian Kinsler as they needed a huge piece of Ash, Maple, or Bamboo in the line up to go with Star Hot Corner Adrian Beltre. Enter the "Prince of Arlington" as in ex-Motor City Kitty Prince Fielder as he assumes the 4-Hole behind Beltre and sandwiched in front of Rangers OF Alex Rios to give the Rangers a Major upgrade in the middle of that line up.  Prince hit just .279 with 25 Taters and 106 Duck knocked off the pond, Then you look at his numbers closer he had Miguel Cabrera hitting everything in front of him and Prince still managed to put up big numbers but not Prince-Like Numbers. The Tigers wanted to move Miggy to First and that made Prince somewhat expendable.

5. Edwin Encarnacion #BlueBirds aka "E-Dawg"

The Blue Birds Leaders at the Dish along with "Jose Bats" Jose Bautista. The best kept secret in the show as Encarnacion has been in the Top 15 in the AL M.V.P. Voting the last two seasons. He was off his 2012 numbers but still managed to put up 36 Round Trippers to go with 104 Ribbies with an OPS of .904. He also had 90 runs scored and 29 two-baggers. If the 'Jays can get solid pitching and keep Jose Bats healthy...they could be the surprise in 2014 on Junior Circuit along with Table-Setter Jose Reyes.

Best of the Rest...

Joey Votto #RedLegs
Eric Hosmer #RoyalPain
Adrian Gonzalez #DodgerBlue
Anthony Rizzo #NorthSiders
Albert Pujols #Halos
Mark Texiera #Bombers
Brandon Moss #SwinginAs
Mike Napoli #Carmines
