The Tampa Bay Rays counting their last regular season series in Toronto has played five straight games pressure packed and air tight and they come out on top again. The Rays go into the AL Wild Card Playoff Game at the "Jake" and blank the Tribe 4-0 behind solid work on the bump and two key hits at the dish. The Rays now head onto the Hub for a Five-Piece in the ALDS with the Carmines.

Rays Starter Alex Cobb was on his A-Game with a huge 3-6-1 Double Play to end the 4th and the only real threat the Tribe had in the game with bases loaded.  Cobb went into the 7th and was pulled with two outs but hi damage was done as he left with a 3-0 lead. Alex allowed eight hits but minimized that damage as three of the eight were xtra-base hits and all two baggers. He also struck out five Indian Hitters and gave out just one free pass.

Tribe Starter Danny Salazar was throwing that Express in upwards of 99 mph as he made two mistake and the first was a Pitcher's Pitch that Rays OF Delmon Young just used his Quick Bat to go Solo Bomb in the 3rd to make it 1-0 Rays. The next inning Salazar with runners at 1st and 2nd Rays OF Desmon Jennings takes him down the left field line for a two-bagger and that scores both Ducks as Rays Hot Corner Evan Longoria beat the throw at the dish to get run #3 up for the Rays. Salazar's Night was done after four as he gave up four hits and three runs allowing two free passes and he struck out four.

The big hitters for the Tribe like 2013 All-Star Jason Kipnis and Star Back Stop Carlos Santana couldn't get it going on this night. Come April through late September the Best Lumber in the World can get you though those months. In October and early November it's all about that Leather and the Boys on the Bump doing work with a solid Lumber Company behind that. The Rays have done both in this mini run as they take their Act to the Hub to face the #1 Seed Boston Red Sox on Friday Afternoon.
