The Chicago Blackhawks come out of the Motel and get a hard-fought "W" in a shootout versus the Carolina Hurricanes as it was all about #50, #81, and #10 on this night.

The Blackhawks came out the gate scoring the first two goals of the game and in the 1st period. A writer by Sharpie #10 to start things off gave the Hawks a 1-0 advantage. Then a backhand shot by "Boss Hoss" Marian Hossa not even three minutes after Sharpie's goal gave the Hawks what looked to be a commanding lead a rout of the 'Canes.

There were no goals scored in the 2nd frame as both teams skated a zero. Then in the 3rd period the 'Canes get a wrister from Right Winger Alex Semin to make it 2-1 Hawks. Then at the 12:33 mark 'Canes Defenseman Ron Hainsey scores on a Slapper to tie the game at 2-2. There were no scored in the Extra Frame as they went into the Shootout. Hawks Net Minder Corey Crawford stopped all three shots by the 'Canes as Hawks Winger Patrick "Sharpie #10" Sharp scores the game-winner and the only one to score in the shootout. The Hawks pick up a two points and move into the 2nd slot in the Central right in front of the 4-0-0 Blues who they will face-off with on Thursday Night October 17th at the Madhouse on Madison.

Thew Hawks will not get the Blues and Leafs on October 17th and October 19th at the Madhouse on Madison. That Blues Game the Hawks will be looking to avenge a loss just about a week or so ago to the Blues in the 'Lou.

Note: Hawks Net Minder Corey "Craw-Dad" Crawford stopped 32 of 34 Frozen Ones....and all three shots in Extras
