They had a commanding lead 4-0 through the first four innings as the MLB Nation watched Jon Lester hold it down on the Bump and Mike "NAP-ster" Napoli put on a hitting display at the dish. The Tigers had no answer and then when they did they were shutdown by Japanese 5-Star Closer Koji Uehara to hold on for a 4-3 win.

Behind 5 2/3 innings of seven hit-two run Hardball from Carmines Left-Hander Jon Lester and First Baseman Mike Napoli's 3 for 4 including a Solo Bomb and a Two-Bagger the Sox had just enough run support for those four runs scored early to hold up for the "W".

So much for Tigers RHP and Starter Anibal Sanchez who controlled that Sox Line Up in Game One as he was lit up through the first three innings giving up four runs. His line ended in six innings as he gives up four and strikes out five as he walked zero. The Tigers Pen held up and shut the door as the Tigers made a run late. They put up a run in the 5th, 6th, and 7th but ran right into Uehara.

The Carmines Captain Save-A-Game went an inning and two-thirds with two strike outs as that Splitter and high 80s express was effective enough. The Carmines head back with a 3-2 lead and that is the good news. The bad news is they will see Mad Max Scherzer in Game 6 and if necessary Justin Verlander in Game 7. Sox Fans I know what your thinking so "Keep Calm and think Pitch by Pitch. Tigers Fans "Keep Calm and you have Mad Max and Verlander...the Bo Sox don't". Look the Carmines RHP Clay Buchholz is a "Monster on the Bump" as well and he is going in Game 6.

Stay tuned for Game 6 at Fenway Saturday Night October 19th at 8pm ET...
