The L.A. Dodgers needed this one and they get Game 3 as the "Boys in Blue" defeat Redbirds Ace Adam Wainright and give back what the Redbirds spoon fed to the Dodgers in Games 1 and 2. The story in this one shouldn't be so much about Wainright in what he didn't do as it should be about what Dodgers and Korean Left-Hander Hyun-Jin Ryu did.

Ryu pitched probably his best game of the year and to his credit shot back at the naysayers as he was smacked vs the Braves in the NLDS. Ryu went seven strong giving up just three hits and no runs while walking one and striking out four as the Dodgers win 3-0. He was masterful to say the least and got out of the one real jam in the 5th with two runners on and no one out as the only threat to his outing. The Dodgers then finished the game with the usual suspects of Set-Up Man Brian Wilson in the 8th and Captain Save-A-Game Kenley Jansen to close it out in the 9th.

Redbirds Ace Adam Wainright still had a solid outing he just needed to pitch a shutout and didn't. His numbers of seven innings allowing six hits and two runs while striking out five is a solid line in an NLCS contest. Dodgers Yasiel Puig, Adrian Gonzalez, and Carl Crawford did the damage for the "A whole new Blue".

Game 4 will be Tuesday October 15th at 8pm ET at Chavez Ravine...Redbirds still up 2-1.
