The Redbirds needed RHP Lance Lynn to be Lynn and be better than Dodgers RHP Ricky Nolasco and that's exactly what transpired at Chavez Ravine on Tuesday. The Redbirds get a 4-2 "W" as they take a commanding 3-1 lead in the NLCS and Game 1 is looming to be the Game the Dodgers had to get.

Redbirds RHP Lynn went 5 1/3 innings allowing two runs on six hits while walking three an striking out five. The run support came in the 3rd as the Redbirds put a crooked three up on Dodgers Starter Ricky Nolasco including a Two-Run Tater from LF Matt Holliday. Holliday ended the night 2 for 4 with 2 RBI and a runs scored. Dodgers Starter Nolasco only went four innings as the Dodgers had seen enough as he goes four allowing three runs on three hits while walking one and striking out four.

Te Dodgers though helped Nolasco in the bottom half of the 4th getting two runs on singles to make it 3-2 Redbirds. Then in the 7th Inning Pinch-Hitter Shane Robinson takes Dodgers Middle Reliever J.P. Howell deep for a Solo "Big Fly" for insurance. The Scoring was capped right thee as the Final was 4-2 Redbirds.

The Redbirds now go for the Clincher on Hump Day and for the Dodgers if anything send it back to St. Louis where anything can happen. October Hardball 2k13 has lived up to good pitching beats good hitting.  The Redbirds Pen has been lights out in the NLCS and NLDS.

Note: Dodgers will go Greinke in Game 5 and Kershaw in Game 6 to try and force a game 7...and the thought of that is enough theater to keep MLB Heads locked in on the NLCS.
