When he was drafted out the "U" Coral Gables many though h would be better than his "U" Teammate and current 'Skins WR Santana Moss as Moss was the more explosive of the two. Then #87 of the Indianapolis Colts was playing 2nd fiddle albeit a good fiddle to Colts QB Peyton Manning's #1 guy then in 'Cuse Alum and WR Harvin Harrison. Then many though when #18 was let go by the Colts Reggie would follow. Not so fast as Andrew Luck came along and #87 hasn't left a beat. Now he joins elite company in a Canton-Like Career in All-Time Receptions...the 1,000 Pigskin Grab Club.

Wayne caught the passed from Andrew Luck in a 19-9 Colts Loss to the Bolts but it had to be not bitter sweet but looking back on it...typical Reggie Wayne in "Business as Usual. With #1000 he tied Pittsburgh Steelers WR Hines Ward and then last night grabbing #1001 he passed Ward to move into the #8 slot. Here is the List Top 15 All-Time in Pigskin Grabs...and it is a whose who among Canton Gold Jackets or soon to be Gold Jackets.

Top 15 in Receptions All-Time in NFL

1. Jerry Rice #49ers 1,549
2. Tony Gonzalez #Falcons 1,275
3. Marvin Harrison #Colts 1,102
4. Chris Carter #Vikings 1,101
5. Tim Brown #Raiders 1,094

6. Terrell Owens #49ers 1,078
7. Isaac Bruce #Rams 1,024
8. #87 #Colts 1,001 * (pictured right)
9. Hines Ward #Steelers 1,000
10. Randy Moss #Vikings 982

11. Andre Reed #Bills 951
12. Derrick Mason #Titans 943
13. Art Monk #Redskins 940
14. Tory Holt #Rams 920
15. Keenan McCardell #Jags 883

Of course Jerry Rice is the King and look at how many receptions Rice has and how big the Gap is between him and #2 Tight End Tony Gonzalez.

Wayne needs 101 more Grabs to catch former Colts Teammate Marvin Harrison and he might do it as Reggie has at least two to three more season in him one would think.

The most underrated WR on this list is Bills Mafia's Andre Reed as he was HOF QB Jim Kelly's #1 Target on those great Bills Teams in the early 90s.

The #1 Duo they never talk about as those Jags in the Coach Tom Coughlin's Days was Jimmy Smith and Keenan McCardell. They were QB Mark Brunell's Top Targets on those really good Jags Teams. The other Duo was part of the 'Greatest Show on Turf" in Tory "Big Game" Holt and Isaac "Preacher" Bruce.

#87 of the Colts has more work to do but with Reggie Wayne he needs no motivation as it's "Business as Usual".
