The Chicago Blackhawk hit the Ice once again as they will face the Tampa Bat Lightning without Star Center Vinny Lecavalier for the first time in 14 seasons. They lost their Opener vs the Spokes in Bean Town as they have work to do. Players to watch for the Lightning is Centers Valtteri Filppula (2013 Free Agent Pick Up from Red Wings), Nate Thompson, Steven Stamkos, and Wingers Martin St. Louis and Teddy Purcell.The Hawks get the win opening night but the visiting Caps in three Power Plays and the Hawks Penalty Killing Team must and will get back to normalcy. The good thing is the Hawks showed their overall balance and why they are favorites to keep Lord Stanley in the 'Go with all four lines netting goals and simply outplaying the Cars Lines.
Net Minder Corey Crawford struggled at times but this isn't the middle of the season and he will tighten the looses sends up. Can the Lightning negate the Hawks Overall speed and match their Lines us a huge question? The Hawks next face the Blues of St. Louis on Wednesday October 9th, 2013.
