I know what your thinking Titans Faithful and maybe you and me and we need to leave well enough alone talking the Tennessee Titans QB Situation. Both Marcus Mariota and Zach Mettenberger played well and they both pose two entirely different problems and looks for defenses. Could Air Whisenhunt be onto something as that Two-Headed QB at LP Field in 2K15 might just be what the "Miracle in Music City" needed to get kick started!
That Titans "D" started off the night right with a Parrish Cox Pick 6 going 24 yards for a 7-0 Titans lead. That Pick was powered by Rams #1 QB Nick Foles. The Rams added a Ryan Succop FG in the 1st to lead 10-0 after one.
Then in the 2nd frame QB Zach Mettenberger led the Titans down the field on a 8-play 62-yard Drive for a 3-yd TD Pass to TE Chase Coffman for a 17-0 lead as they added another Succop FG for a 20-0 lead at the break.
The Rams would add 14 points in the 2nd half but the Titans adding another TD made it 27-14 the final score. Mettenberger went 7 for 9 and 91 yards and a TD with Mariota going 5 for 8 for 59 yards. RB Bishop Sankey running for his job had 45 yards on six totes as the Titans Offense looked good.
Rams QB Case Keenum played extremely well going 7 for 16 for 164 yards and a TD. Rams Rookie RB Malcolm Brown (4/23 Rush 4/78 TD Pass) and WR Chris Givens and 80-yard TD had nights. Titans 4th string QB Alex Tanney from little Monmouth, Ill College (Div. III) the Fighting Scots went 7 for 9 for 105 yards and a TD.
All in all a great night for the Music City Titans on both sides of the Wilson pigskin...
