Look New York Mets Tuesday starter Jon Niese wasn't about to let the Boys down not after being the middle of that new Mets Rotation that has been nothing but spectacular the last two weeks and change. His counterpart Miami Marlins Pitcher Brad Hand didn't disappoint either as the contest went to late frames with the Amazins' yet again pulling another "W" out that Rally Cap!
The Marlins got things started in the 3rd as Dee Gordon goes RBI single making it 1-0 Fish. Niese (W, 6-9) wouldn't be touched up again as he would go seven giving up that one run on four hits striking out six. A Ruben Tejada RBI single in the 6th off Marlins reliever Adam Conley tied the score up at 1-1. Hand who would get a No-Decision would leave after four.
Then in the 8th after Lucas Duda and Travis d'Amaud singles runners were on 1st and 2nd. Then the Amazins' get two outs and an Eric Campbell single scored Duda making it 2-1 Mets. Then with Marlins reliever Mike Dunn on the "Bump" a Juan Lagares three-bagger scored two and Curtis Granderson would get a RBI single after that making it 5-1 Mets the final.
New York improves to 57-50 while the Marlins fall to 43-64. The Nats sneak by the D-Backs and stays right on their heels moving to 55-50...
