The Chicago Cubs broke things open early on Sn Francisco Giants starter Chris Heston. It was a Jorge Soler 1st Inning two RBI single that made it 2-0 Cubs after one. Then in the 2nd the it was that man again Kyle Schwarber going three-run blast making it 5-0 Cubbies as Mr. Schwarber won't be heading back to the Farm in Iowa anytime soon.
Cubs Starter Jason Hammel held his own but went just four frames which didn't qualify him for the "W"! He gave up two runs on three hits Brandon Belt took Hammel deep for a two-run tater in the 4th cutting that 5-0 deficit to 5-2 Cubs.
It stayed that way until the 6th when Brandon Crawford got in on the act taking Cubs middle man Tommy Hunter deep for another two-run blast making it 5-4 Cubbies. The Cubs Pen though would nail it down as they go three scoreless frames with the North Siders Captain Save-A-Game Hector Rondon notching his 17th save of 2015.
"Maddon Ball" moves to 59-48 while "Bochy Ball" falls to 59-49 as we get a 4:05pm ET start on Friday as Wrigleyville should be jumping as its Ryan Vogelsong vs Jon Lester.
