Are you kidding me as though the Windy City needs another Parade Route and let's not get too far ahead of ourselves as Cubs Nation needs to stay in the moment. Chicago goes against the odds and takes a four-piece from the defending World Champion San Francisco Giants in convincing fashion!

Sunday's starter Jake Arrieta was dealing as he goes Cy Young on San Fran Hardball going 7 2/3 frames throwing a four-hitter with two walks and six strikeouts. The North Siders got to Gigantes starter Jake Peavy in the fist two frames putting up a run each and that was all they needed. Yes Peavy took the "L" going five allowing four hits and striking out six with two walks as those two runs go on his tab.

Then the adventure started in the 9th with Cubbies Captain Save-A-Game Hector Rondon on the "Bump" he allows the "Brandon Boys" Belt and Crawford to go single and double as they were standing on 2nd and 3rd with no one out. Rondon then hits Gigantes Ehire Adrianza with a pitch to load the bases with no out.

Cubs Nation by now with "Last Call" being in the 7th at Wrigley were left with the Medicine Cabinet (for the Cubs Folks at home) to hit the Maalox as Rondon strikes out the side 1-2-3 after that for a Cubs win and four-game sweep. Rondon grabs save #19 as Arrieta moves to 13-6. In his last 10 starts Arrieta has had a 1.23 ERA and been the North Siders most consistent starter from day 1.

Now the Cubbies moving 62-48 holds a 3 1/2 game lead on the Gigantes for the #2 Wild Card Slot....
