As we close out Week 2 of the NFL Pre-Season with the Packers/Steelers going Sunday Matinee we get Charles Bronson double-barrel action Sunday Night. The Cowboys and 49ers get together in the Sunday Night featured game with the Rams and Titans coming up the rear.
The Dallas Cowboys and San Francisco 49ers both heads into Week 2 of the Fake Games at 0-1. No cause for concern for the 'Boys as they are primed to grab another NFC East Title. As for the Niners they need work and they need to find out where they can consistently eat on Sunday on Offense.
Dallas OG Zack Martin is out with what has been reported by numerous media outlets as a "Stinger" and you won't see him until Week 1 as the 'Boys won't risk it. The players to watch though is on the Cowboys "D" as #1 Donut-Runner Randy Gregory the Pride of Cornhusker Land and born and raised "Circle City" (Indianapolis, Indiana) has been turning heads all camp. DeMarcus Lawrence is also getting his feet under him and with Greg Hardy lurking the 'Boys Red Jersey Collection Package is looking Cowboys Cheerleaders five-star!
As for the Niners RB Carlos Hyde and QB Colin Kaepernick must carry the load. We need to also see QB Kap start hitting his #1 Target Anquan Boldin and Torrey Smith on a consistent basis as that O-Line is a work in progress. Can Backer Navorro Bowman lead a "D" that has new faces in so many places even the Niners Faithful needs a Program at Today's game. I though I would never say this but the Niners look like "Bottom Feeders" in the potent NFC West!
The Rams looked OK on Offense as QB Nick Foles is still getting acclimated to his new weapons. WR Tavon Austin is going to breakout but that RB Situation with 2015 #1 Rams Pick Todd Gurley of #DawgSaturday out and maybe on the PUP List...who takes the reigns? I will not sorry about that Rams "D" as they have "Monsters inside QBs" at every level.
The Titans are trying to get as much work for QB Marcus Mariota as they can versus the 1's. What you do to protect Rookie QBs is getting a stout Run Game and the Titans still do not know who their #1 RB will be in opening week. Dick LeBeau's "D" looked OK versus Rise Up last week but they need work. Lead Man Ken Whisenhunt has his hands full as it looks like the Titans might be playing for at least 3rd in the AFC South with the Colts running the division!
