Yes the Hawks get the extra points and yes they stopped the Lightning from streaking even more in the right column. The Hawks Patrick Kane scores the only goal inn the shootout to propel the Blackhawks to a 3-2 Shoot out win over a Tampa team that has been en fuego.
The Lightning gets the lone goal in frame one with Cedric Paquette lighting the lamp early in the 1st making it 1-0 Tampa after one. The Hawks Brad Richards starting to heat up and get more and more familiar with his surroundings scores almost midway through the 2nd to tie the game at 1-1.
Then in the 3rd it was Markus Kruger scoring not even two minutes into the 3rd making it 2-1 Hawks. Then midway through the 3rd it was the Lightning's Nikita Kucherov tying the game up at 2-2 beating Corey Crawford with a wrister.
That score would hold though the overtime as Crawford stopped 25 of 27 SOG. Tampa net minder Ben Bishop halted 37-39 SOG as the Hawks peppered him with a game-high 19 SOG in frame one.
After Ryan Callahan and Kucherov missed along with the Hawks "Captain Serious" Jonathan Toews it was the "Bison City Mullet" Kaner 88 beating Bishop. The Lighting Steven Stamkos then missed the potential game-tying shot as the Hawks win and get their 19th point of 2014-015.
Hawks get the Red Wings in the "D" Friday November 14th. The Lightning at an NHL leading 24 points gets Team Teal in Tampa on Thursday November 13th.
