It might be a forgone conclusion that the 2014 Detroit Lions may never recover resorting back to some old habits. The New England Patriots had a lot to do with those bad habits on Sunday as it was a combo of New England's "D" and that Offense peaking at the right time.
After the Lions marched down the field in the opening frame getting a 50-yd FG from PK Matt Prater it was 3-0 Lions. Brady then took the Pats down 64 yards on seven plays completing a four-yard pass to TE Tim Wright for a 7-3 Pats lead. New England getting things back in order would erupt in the 2nd frame.
Lions Prater would kick another FG making it 7-6 Pats then New England would score 17 straight point going up 24-6 at the break. All that was highlighted by former Steelers RB Legarrette Blount getting 78 yards on a dozen carries and two TD's and good for Felicia!
The Pats would go onto hold the Lions to three more points and score 10 points for a 34-9 victory. The Lions have not score seven in the last two games counting this game. QB Staff was 18 for 46 for 264 yards and of course an INT. Golden Tate grabbed four pigs for 97 yards and the Artist formerly known as "MEGAtron" back to Calvin Johnson had 58 yards receiving.
Brady was 38 for 53 for 349 yards and two TD's and an INT. Former LSU wide out Brandon LaFell of the #BlackInBlack Panthers has emerged as a huge target for Brady catching nine pigs for 98 yards. Julian Edelman hauled in eleven pigs form 89 yards and the Pats are the team to beat in the "Fight for Lamar"!
