Before the game started I liked the Bulls chances especially having last played this past Monday night at Staples beating the Clips 105-89. This 2014-15 Kings bunch though is a different animal as they have a corner stone in Birmingham's finest @boogiecousins in DeMarcus Cousins. They also have his caddy in "Rudy the Monarch" of Charm City Maryland whose game is starting to finally mature!
The Bulls down just 52-47 at the break had trouble scoring in the 3rd and the Kings took full advantage of that leading 80-68 after three. The Kings big three Cousins, Collison, and Gay combined to score 23 of the Kings 28 in that 3rd frame and the put the game away.
The Bulls got to within eight but it was too late as See Red shot 5 for 16 from the Arc and loses 103-88. Forever Purple gets 20 points from Gay, 22 points and fourteen boards from the Boogie Man, and 17 points and eleven assists from D.C.. Kings shot 4 for 6 from the Arc but had a huge margin in points in the paint!
The Bulls get a game-high 23 points and eight boards from the "See Red Butler" Jimmy. They also get a dozen from Taj, Bloodline Dunleavy Jr., and Aaron Brooks. The Bulls just needed Gasol in the paint and Rose at point that's it.
Chicago falls to 8-4 losing its first road game in the 2014-15 season. The Kings move to 7-5 and that is by no means a fluke. Bulls out of Sac Town right after the game as they head to Rip City with the Blazers waiting for them for the 2nd leg of a back to back...lookout Bulls Nation!
