I know this you need to include Highlight Factory 404 point god Jeff Teague in all that other convo about the best point guards in the association. On a night where the Hawks starters namely Big AL Horford and All-Star Milsap's games were missing it was Teague holding his own and then some versus the Wiz Kids D.C. All-Star and Sole Proprietor of Wall's Wings and Burgers John Wall of Three Stripes scooby doos!
The game had that mid to late April 2K15 feel to it you know the "Fight for Larry". The Hawks led at the break 41-39 at the break as Teague had 10 and Wall-Star 13. That two points Hawks lead was cut to one at the end of three 68-67 as Teague had 19 and Wall-Star 17.
That 4th frame the Hawks rode the wave of top reinforcements Mike Scott of Wahoos Hoops and Shelvin Mack of Hinkel Fieldhouse Lore and current Jazz Star Gordon Hayward's driver. As the Wiz took the lead on an Otto Porter Jr. "J" both Mack and Scott reeled off the next 16 points putting the Hawks up to stay 84-78. Teague finished them off as the Hawks escape Chocolate City with a 106-102 "W"!
Teague led all scorers with 28 points (12-14 FT) with Mack and Scott combining for 30 huge points including that 16-pint stretch early in the 4th. The Hawks won the game by forcing 24 Wizards turnovers.
Wall-Star led the Wiz with 21 points dropping thirteen dimes to boot. The "Truth" Paul Pierce added 14 and Bradley Beal 13 as he continues to work himself back coming off the bench.
Hawks move to 7-5 and the Wiz fall to 9-4 in what could be the two best in the NBA southeast.
