The Detroit Lions had to get this one to stop the bleeding in the short-term and the Chicago Bears looked to be a problem early on. As the game settled down so did to the Detroit Lions doing what they do as Lions QB Matthew Stafford gets back on track as do the Lions on both sides of the Wilson pig skin running away with a 34-17 convincing "W"!

The Bears had Bears Nation thinking #BelieveInMonsters early on as the Navy and Orange from Halas Hall in Lake Forest, Illinois went up 14-3. Those 14 points were highlighted by Bears QB Jay Cutler to WR Alshon Jeffery for a 14-3 score at the end of the 1st frame. It would be all Motor City Lions after that as the real Bears showed up for the last three frames!

Behind two MEGAtron TD catches from QB "Staff" and a 1-yard run from Lions RB Joique Bell the Lions put up 21 unanswered sending the Bears into 2014 hibernation. Lions took a commanding 24-14 lead into the break and that stood up as the Bears offense was inept the whole 2nd half.

A Robbie Gould FG in the 3rd made it 24-17 but the Lions get another Bell TD run and a FG from place kicker Matt Prater and that was your ball game 34-17. QB "Staff" threw for 390 yards on 34 for 45 and two TD and more importantly no INT's.

Bell ran for 91 yards on 23 carries and scored twice with WR MEGAtron finding his super-suit just in time for 146 yards on eleven grabs and two scores. Golden Tate added 89 yards grabbing eight Wilson pig skins.

Bears QB Cutler threw for 280 yards on 31 for 48 and two TD's but also two more INT's. RB Matt Forte carried the pig just five times for six yards and he had more touches in warm-ups. TE Martellus Bennett dba "Black Unicorn" had 109 yards on eight carries.

It was the Bears "D" that looks clueless and D-Coordinator Mel Tucker needs to stay away from your local Pop-Warner team let alone the "Monsters of the Midway". The Bears need an overhaul all over the place as if it looks like a train wreck its 100% a train wreck.

Lions move to 8-4 right in the middle of the NFC north race and wild card. The Bears fall to 5-7 and they just need to play it out strong and see what happens!
