The Chicago Bulls went on a tear right after the break and was riding the "Spaniard" Pau Gasol all the way to the finish line vs the home team the Toronto Raptors. Bulls trailed 52-45 at the break but Gasol had 19 points with a myriad of moves including that soft-tip mid-range game that is simply margarine!
See Red came right out of the phone booth in the 3rd frame out scoring the Raptors 35-14 spearheaded by a heavy dose of D-Rose, the See Red Butler, Bloodline Dunleavy Jr., and of course the "Spaniard". See Red turned a 52-45 deficit into a 80-66 lead at the end of three.
The Dinosaurs made a patented NBA run late as they got within five 95-90 but got no closer with a little over a minute to go. Rose went down on a play driving in the lane to his left when it looked like his left leg gave way with the right compensating for the sudden collapse. It could be anything and you hope for the young man it is on the lines day to day or even week to week not missing more than that.
The Bulls win 100-93 as Gasol had a game-high 27 points and eleven boards with the See Red Butler adding 21 points , nine boards, and six assists. Rose chipped in with 20 points with Dunleavy Jr. 14 points as See Red shot right under 50% for the game and committed 19 turnovers.
The Dinosaurs were led by point god Kyle Lowry's 20 points, eight assists, and eight boards. Former Bulls 1st rounder from Wake (where he played with Hawks PG Jeff Teague) James Johnson added 16 points off the bench dominating the Bulls 2nd unit. Amir Johnson dropped 14 points as DeMar of Compton struggled shooting just 3 of 17 from the field.
