I remember like yesterday meeting a gentleman as the Bluedude was working with the Dallas Mavericks in Marketing that had a lasting impressions on me. That gentleman was Terdema Ussery as the Bluedude if I could catch up to him just wanted some advice from him and the advice he gave me was priceless.
A L.A. Watts born and raised Ivy League under grad and grad Ussery was the man in Dallas for the Mavs way before current owner Mark Cuban. That season the Bluedude worked for the Mavs the 1999-2000 season Ussery was already there as he had come from the Nike Headquarters running a Sports Management Division. He was also Commissioner of the old Continental Basketball Association as he was a jack of all trades a true Sports Head.
When Ussery was with the Mavs before Cuban he had brokered the deal for the then new American Airlines Center in Downtown Dallas as he is known around Big D as simply the Man on all levels. Cuban then bought the Mavs and of course he left Ussery in control as President of Business Operations and Ussery also had a hand in all things Mavs even on the Basketball Operations Side as well as running HDNet as I get goose bumps talking about the man as I hold him in the highest regards.
Now moving forward Ussery will be Prez of Under Armour's Global Sports Categories and Under Armour this for your Team is a huge move and a move in the right direction getting Terdema. Before landing this "Gig" Ussery fell short on becoming the NBA Players Association's Head just last year.
Congrats Terdema Ussery as those 18 Years running the Mavs was priceless and good luck with Under Armour and I know you will "Protect their House"...You Will!
