It seemed like yesterday when #ForeverPurple dba Sacramento Kings called BYU All-American SG Jimmer Fredette's name as the #10 pick in the 2011 NBA Draft going Lottery. Yes he won every award in College his Senior Season and was by some a surefire difference-maker on the next level.
Now we fast forward to 2015 and four teams later counting the San Antonio Spurs 2K15 Training Camp Invite Mr. Fredette is at the NBA "Crossroads". Is he former Georgia Tech and Cavs Star PG Mark Price..heck no! He is not even former Wahoos Star PG John Crotty! Is he more like former Gonzaga star PG Dan Dickau I believe so and that would be El Busto. So where does Jimmer find his niche in the Logo as this might be his last stop? Remember he has "Game" but where is it?
The Spurs if anyone and he can become a real threat as Fredette just needs to play his role and that is shoot it and knock that open "J" down! Unlike most teams San Antonio has a unique way to get every player on the same page and everyone will get their turn you just have to try and maximize it. That 2nd Unit has some opportunities for a "Shooter" with Marco Belinelli long gone and Corey Joseph back home in Toronto.
Imagine this Tim Duncan in an "Iso" with L-Train opposite of him in the corner with Danny Green Ball Side with Kawhi Leonard at the Top of the Key with Jimmer Fredette free throw line extended on the weakside a Spalding Orange's throw from L-Train...and then he gets the Rock wide-open..."Knock it Down" Jimmer!
