The Pittsburgh Piartes and St. Louis Cardinals know one thing no matter who advances they went at each in 2013 as a new NL Central Rivalry is unfolding between our eyes. Now it comes down to a Game 5 for the right to advance to play the "Boys in Blue" in the NLCS. The Pirates are going with RHP and Rookie Gerrit Cole as he pitched great in the Buccos Game 2 "W" in the Lou. The Redbirds are going with most likely the 2013 NL Cy Young Runner-Up and 19 game-winner Adam Wainright and that is a comforting feeling for Redbirds Nation. They will battle at 8pm ET near the muddy Mississippi River and the Gateway to the West.

October 9, 2013 at 8pm ET from New Busch Stadium

Pirates playing as #BUCtober vs the Cards playing as #REDBIRDS

PIT Cole (1-0, 1.50 ERA) vs STL Wainright (1-0, 1.29 ERA)

Cole was on his A-Game in Game 2 as he pitched six innings of two-hit hardball. Wainright was Ace on the Bump in Game 1 going seven allowing just one run on three hits. Something has to give tonight as both Teams know they must get to the Pitchers early before they settle down.
