The Buccos knew going in they had to get to Redbirds Ace Adam Wainright. The Redbirds knew they had a chance to rattle or at least make it uncomfortable for the Bucs Rookie Gerrit Cole. Well the Redbirds Game Plan prevailed as they will be moving on to face the Dodgers as they get a late run and beat the Bucs 6-1.

Wainright was too tough as he scattered eight hits and allowed just one run as he struck out six Bucs Hitters and issued one free pass. Wainright took a page out of former Ace RHP Chris Carpenter just a straight dawg out on the bump wheeling and dealing until the results favor him. That man that usually is big in key moments for the Redbirds Hot Corner David Freese put the Birds up 2-0 with a two-run Blast off Cole in the 2nd to get things rolling. Cole went five allowing two runs on three hits walking one and striking out five. The Redbirds then added one in the sixth with Bucs Hot Corner "El Toro" Pedro Alvarez putting the Bucs on the boards with an RBI in the 7th. Redbirds First Baseman Matt Adams for picked up some Baseball Town USA Insurance going yard for a two-run Bomb as the Redbirds get another RBI behind that to cap the scoring at 6 and the final score of 6-1.

The Redbirds now are off to a seven game set with the L.A. Dodgers. The Buccos after some twenty years of Hardball Misery have arrived and that #BUCtober is going nowhere but back to the "Fight for the Commish" 2k14 and you can't count on it.

Congrats to Redbird Nation as the NL Central was the #1 Division in Hardball for 2k13....
